Bokashi juice generally starts flowing around one week after you first begin adding scraps. If this doesn’t occur, there are a few things to check:
Is the grate installed at the bottom of the bucket?
Is the tap blocked?
If the grate is installed and the tap isn’t blocked, the slow juice production may be related to the scraps that you are adding. Foods such as bread, meat and pasta don’t produce a lot of juice whereas vegetable and fruit scraps will produce larger amounts due to their high water content.
